Katie has been teaching in the Bellingham School District for 11 years and loves that she gets to sing every day at her job. She also plays music and sings with friends in her spare time, and enjoys singing in the Bellingham Chamber Chorale. She is so excited for Creative Kids Camp, her favorite part of the summer. When Katie is not singing or teaching—rare!—she loves to cook, bake, read, and spend time with friends and family.

Amy has been teaching at Happy Valley Elementary for 18 years! After teaching Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades for a long time, she had an opportunity to move to 3rd grade several years ago and loves it! She also loves teaching writing to her 3rd graders and is excited to continue teaching creative writers this summer. When she is not at school, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters Lexi and Alyssa, and her adorable dog Eddie. Amy also is an avid reader, exerciser and traveler.

A Bellingham native, Tara has been teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade in the Bellingham School District for 11 years, and is so excited to be teaching ART this summer! Although she studied environmental and elementary education in school, she is an artist at heart—she has been making art since she was a toddler! Tara’s favorite mediums include ink, watercolor, and glitter. Besides teaching, Tara enjoys baking, bike riding, weaving, reading, day-hiking, and spending time with her three- and four-legged cats. Tara is a huge fan of Star Wars, taco pizza from Rudy’s Pizza, and programming LEGO robots.
